How the countdown works
Valentine's Day is a fixed-date holiday: always February 14. The calculator finds the next February 14 at or after your start date and counts every calendar day between, weekends included. If today is February 14 the answer is zero; on February 15 the counter resets to 364 days (365 when a leap day sits in the wait).
Because 365 days is 52 weeks plus one day, the holiday's weekday advances one step each year - Sunday in 2027, Monday in 2028 - and jumps two steps when a February 29 falls in between, which is why it skips from Monday 2028 straight to Wednesday 2029.
How it’s calculated
Target = next occurrence of February 14 on or after the start date. Days = round((target − start) / 86,400,000 ms), both dates anchored at 12:00 noon so daylight-saving shifts cannot move the count. Weeks = floor(days / 7) plus remainder. Weekday count = calendar days after the start date through the target, keeping only Monday-Friday.
Counts use your device's local calendar date; the weekday tally does not exclude holidays, and the date never varies by country for Valentine's Day.

Common mistakes
