How the countdown is computed
The calculator finds the next December 25 at or after your start date and counts every calendar day in between - today is day zero, Christmas itself is the last day counted. On December 25 the answer is 0; on December 26 it resets to 364 (or 365 when a February 29 falls inside the wait).

Common mistakes
- Counting today as a full day - the convention here makes today day zero, so December 24 shows 1 day, not 2.
