Win percentage = wins ÷ total games × 100. A 30–20 record is 30 ÷ 50 = 60%, written .600 in standings. When ties are possible, count each as half a win: (wins + 0.5 × ties) ÷ games. That’s how the NFL computes it — a 9–5–2 season is (9 + 1) ÷ 16 = 62.5%, quoted as .625. Baseball simply has no ties, so its formula is the same with ties at zero.
Win rate in games and esports is identical math per match: 57 wins in 100 ranked games is a 57% win rate. Don’t confuse it with the win/loss ratio, which divides wins by losses only — a 30–20 record has a 1.50 W/L ratio but a 60% win rate. A ratio above 1.00 always means a winning record.
